Carbon Kevlar and Carbon Fibre Mixed:
Sold in Roll 50m x 65mm or 1M lengths
Kevlar is the DuPont Company's registered trademark for a very light, very strong synthetic fiber. Kevlar has been used for high stress applications in many fields and was first introduced into surfing with the advent of tow surfing. Due to the thickness of the kevlar cloth more resin is required than a conventional fibreglass which means an increase in the weight of the board. A comprimize can be made and only use the kevlar in high stress areas such as on the foot pads of the surfboard.
Uni-directional for superior strength. Ideal for Carbon Parobolic Rails and for strengthening the the tail area for back foot pressures. Custom made for surfboard production and suitable for all surfboards, Retros and Longboards.
Carbon, Carben/Kevlar tapes are used on the rail of the surfboards, to create a unique flex pattern used my various surfboard manufactures. The carbon (or Kevlar) creates superior strength that acts as a frame which maximises speed drive whilst creating a flex memory that flows with the wave.
